1 Peter 1:23

being born again [1], not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible [2], by the word of God [3], which liveth and abide to for ever. [4]

  1. To produce again, be born (beget) again or born (beget) anew. Metaphorically: to have one’s mind changed so that he lives a new life and one conformed to the will of God.
  2. (aphthartos) Uncorrupted, not liable to corruption or decay, imperishable of things immortal of the risen dead.
  3. Or “the Word of the living and enduring God.”
