And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; [1] depart from Me, [2] you who practice lawlessness!’ [3]

  1. Jesus is talking about people who actually don’t know him. He is not talking about growing cold or people he grew tired of. This simply means non-believers who stand on their own righteousness, on what they have done and not what Christ.
  2. He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee (Hebrews 13:5). As a believer your position is secured in Christ.
